Bike Trails

We FunCleRiders usually ride on the below types of Bike Trails. Around the greater DMV and the Pennsylvania States, more choices are there for each trail.

  • Road Trails
  • City Trails
  • Gravel Trails
  • Mountain Trails

Road Trails

Trail is best thought of as the tire patch “trailing” behind the steering axis. Fork offset for road bikes usually ranges from 40 to 55 mm, generating trail figures from 50 to 63 mm. 57mm of trail is considered by many to be an ideal combination of stability and agility.

City Trails

A city bike, sometimes called a utility bike, is a type of bike used predominantly for trips in urban areas. City bikes are built with comfort and practicality in mind and are designed to allow the rider to sit upright rather than bent forward, like on road bikes.

Gravel Trails

Gravel riding, aka gravel grinding or adventure riding, is an increasingly popular form of cycling that combines elements of road- and mountain-biking, and consists mostly of distance riding over unpaved roads.

a mountain bike is perfectly suited to a mountain bike destination. But a gravel bike is better suited to everywhere trails are not. Gravel bikes are in their element on endless unsealed and poorly kept roads where your average speed is closer to that of riding on tarmac.

Mountain Trails
